God gave us gifts and talents and treasures, and you have to ask yourself the question, are we using all of these gifts, talents and treasures for His glory or are we keeping some back for us and giving him back just a little bit?
Why do we freak out giving 10% as our tithe? It’s simple, we don’t have the money for it. If we make $100,000 that means $10,000 goes to the ministry!
That’s why we don’t flourish as a church, that’s why we don’t flourish as His people. As far as I’m concerned, if you want a brand new car, make it a fiery chariot that takes you to heaven.
As we just finished tax season, go review where your priorities are in life. They say put your money where your mouth is, and I think we put our money where we see the highest value for us, and not for Christ’s ministry.
Time is getting shorter and shorter. Let’s stop with our excuses. Let’s re-organize and prioritize. Let’s lay ourselves before the Lord and let’s give him the best of our time the best of our talent the best of our treasure. Then we will live.
