I’m standing in a cemetery because today, by the Grace of God, I received the blessing to choose my burial plot.
I’m honored to be at an Orthodox cemetery. I’m not afraid when I look down and look around at the beautiful life examples that have been laid to physical rest here. We can’t be afraid of death, my friends.
We do a lot of things at the time of death to cover it up. To usually unnecessary embalming, makeup, putting on jewelry, getting hair done, nails etc. We’ve always heard, “Oh look at Aunt Mary she looks so beautiful.” What is beautiful about death is that it is not an end, but the door to eternal life. Because Christ conquered death by death.
So, I’m asking you with great humility, not just telling you where I’ll be in the ‘rotting flesh’, to join me in a prayer so that when it is time, I’ll be able to rest in a blessed spot.
Remember: don’t fear death, live in Christ Jesus.
I have loved your inspiring messages.

Dear Father George,
Your message today is bitter sweet. Bitter because we will be losing you in the flesh, but you will always in our hearts. Bitter because your life partner , your children and grandchildren will miss you in their lives. Sweet because you are anticipating a life everlasting with our God Jesus Christ.
Although we have never met, I have prayed for your recovery and continue to keep you in my prayers.
God bless you and your.

Dear Father George,
We met only a few times at services at All Saints. A parishioner of yours told me of your illness and asked that I watch this video. I am glad that I did.
Even though we walk in the footsteps of our Savior and recall his death and Resurrection, we still contemplate our own end with fear. Thank you for sharing your faith, your courage, and your hope.
I will be remembering you and all the holy priests and bishops in prayers at my parish here in Australia. God bless.
Father George
My eyes are full of tears watching and listening to you. God bless you always.
I will not fear death and will live in Jesus Christ.
Father George
